SmugMug Photo Galleries

SmugMug provide great features for anyone taking photos and wishing to make them available on the web.

DCB.NET.AU have used SmugMug for the Ric Mcconaghy (RMPL) web site and for Merimbula Marina to date.

RMPL have embedded SmugMug into their project process so that as images of prospective play space sites are taken they are uploaded to SmugMug. Additional images of the playspace as it progresses through the project cycle are taken and uploaded. Finally when completed selected images are displayed on the website.

Merimbula Marina have used SmugMug to deliver high definition images to their website thus removing much of the maintenance of website images to SmugMug which is designed especially for this function. Merimbula Marina also capture images daily from cruises and whale watching tours. SmugMug in combination with their Blogger Blog provides a "social" environment for the sharing of tourist experiences.

SmugMug And The Cloud

• SmugMug utilise Amazon S3 for their services with high availability, multiple redundancy and enormous extensibility.
• SmugMug provide several alternatives for uploading images to their repository including desktop software and Java  browser components.
• Additionally the Firefox Universal Uploader provides access to SmugMug using an explorer interface within the Firefox browser.
• SmugMug provide a Vault service that provides long term backup of your images for an additional fee.
